One studio. Four companies.
Twenty-two specialists.
We are architects, designers, structural engineers, BIM specialists, data scientists, and machine learning engineers. Many of us move between i/o atelier, i/o spark, /n4, nHabit and Halo week to week. The studio is the door to all of them.

Steven Charlton
Steven is the Founder and CEO of i/o atelier, nHabit and Halo. A Design and PropTech leader with 25 years across the EMEA region, his work blends creativity, AI, data and spatial strategy to deliver impactful built environments and technology products.
He holds a First Class BA(Hons) in Interior Architecture from Edinburgh College of Art and is a BREEAM Advisory Professional. Before i/o atelier he was a Managing Director at Perkins&Will. First, scaling the Dubai studio from start-up to over 100 staff in five years (and winning Best Large Architectural Firm of the Year). He then led the London studio of 130+ people through to 2022. From a standing start he has grown i/o atelier with named projects for confidential global technology clients, British Land, Seven (a PIF company), InterContinental and British Airways.
He is also the founder of nHabit, the consumer-facing AI property platform built on the /n4 spatial intelligence engine, which was invented in-house by Jonathan Hill and Laith Mohajer, and Halo, the studio's transformation venture.

Amanda Baldwin
For nearly three decades, Amanda has been shaping interior environments across workplace, repositioning, education, hospitality, residential and retail. She joined i/o atelier to further her commitment to delivering innovative, human-centred design that transforms workplaces and strengthens communities.
Formerly Design Director at Gensler and more recently Partner and Head of Interiors at Fletcher Priest, she has built a reputation for delivering design that inspires and engages. With an innate ability to align design strategies with business goals, Amanda creates spaces that reflect the needs of people while driving meaningful outcomes for organisations.
Nineteen specialists, working across the four companies the studio has produced.

We hire for hybrids. Architects who code. Physicists who design. Engineers who draw.
The studio is built on a simple bet: the most interesting work at the intersection of interior architecture and AI is being done by people who refuse to pick a side. Below is a sample of the team and the disciplines they brought with them.
One studio, in London. Home of i/o atelier, i/o spark, /n4, nHabit and Halo. Workplace, hospitality, residential and masterplanning work across the UK, EU and KSA via long-standing Gulf relationships, with active commissions across PIF, Qiddiya and DIFC.
