Madrid's urban character derives as much from its in-between spaces as from its buildings: the promenade, the street, the plaza, each carrying layers of history, texture and collective life. Cobblestones, textured stone facades, brickwork, greenery, shopfronts, shutters and decorative signage form a catalogue of surfaces tied to the city's enduring artistic spirit. The design draws these streets into the building's central zone, activating it with a range of spaces that echo the rhythm and variety of the city outside.
Where Barcelona tested the limits of what the studio could demonstrate to a client using AI, Madrid was the next iteration: the capability was proven, and the question shifted from demonstration to refinement. The same client, the same established trust, and for the first time the freedom to develop rather than prove. Across this client's portfolio, each successive project has been a further generation of the tooling. Barcelona was where i/o process became a stated, public capability. Madrid was where the studio began to turn it into a discipline.
