A private members' club, restaurant, bar, juice bar and gym occupying the top floor of the DIFC office tower. The design sets a single tonal register across all five spaces: restrained, materially rich and attuned to natural light at altitude. Rich materials and measured lighting establish an atmosphere calibrated for both professional engagement and private retreat. Cultural reference is present but woven through rather than applied: in the geometric patterning of screens, the selection of stone, and the proportion of light and shadow across the rooms.
The consistent finding from this period of the studio's development: animated deliverables change the quality of the client conversation. This was another point on that curve, each project bolder than the last in what the animation attempted. The same brief, the same model, the same review session, but the deliverable now carried motion. The conversation was qualitatively different as a result. The principle embedded in i/o spark since: animation is the default output, not the exceptional one.
