Interior design for all front-of-house spaces within a new 23-floor office tower in the Dubai International Financial Centre. The project was commissioned to create a corporate headquarters capable of attracting international blue-chip occupiers. The centrepiece is a quad-height lobby: a generous entrance volume that establishes the character of the building and the standard against which each subsequent floor is measured. Light, well-proportioned and materially considered, the tower reads as an address rather than a commodity.

This was the project at which the studio began treating animation as a serious client deliverable. Several pieces were produced as internal R&D and shared with the client as supplementary material, without expectation. The client treated them as marketing assets. That response clarified something the studio had been approaching obliquely: with the right pipeline, the same brief, the same model and the same review session can yield considerably more. The output multiplies without proportional cost. The question that followed this project, and has continued to shape the practice, is how much more can be generated from what is already in the room. i/o spark is the sustained answer to that question.
